I have varied taste. I like to follow news reporters for one.i simply find one I like and see who he or she follows and start from there. Bluesky, though doesn’t have my needed blues music and geology feeds that Twitter has.

I find Bluesky to be a nice clean interface but without the variety of users that xTwitter has or had.

So while Ukraine relies on the US, Germany, Poland, Czechia, Italy, France, the UK…

Russia relies on… checks notes Iran and the DPRK

No country, not even the US, is not going to defend 8tself after being attacked. If human shields are used, you can try to take precautions but shit does happen when you’re being shot at.

After WWIi the UN created N Korea, because the Japanese that occupied the entire peninsula, had withdrawn and because the Soviets as well as the US both felt they should have control. Russia soon got bored with a sphere of influence in the Pacific.

Got it right so far?

The basic problem is that Palestinians never got their Gandhi. Instead they got violent ass clowns.

But, what you are saying is Hamas strategy of human shields should work. Israel has no recourse?

Where do you think Hamas is at? This happens every time. Hamas uses human shields of Palestinians. israel bombs their ass in the houses they hang out is. Liberals get upset and scream war crime. Israeli then stops.

But, will that happen this time? By my reading the answer is no. Israel will make a full force invasion and much blood will be spilled on both sides.

Instead of carrying Hamas water, you should support, as I do, the US Secretary of State who knows what is coming and is trying to setup humanitarian corridors for the humanitarian crisis that is sure to come.

You are using a term you don’t fully understand to try to cudgle popular opinion without acknowledging your own hypocrisy of not acknowledging that this began with the slaughter of civilians to begin with. I’m sure countries like Iran love you for it,

You don’t know if it’s a short time. The time is not specified. If Hamas uses human shields, is that not a war crime?

You really need to put a logic line between your thoughts and see if you connect things. Don’t try to make things uneccsaily complicated.

This sort of implies Ukraine is an apartheid state carelessly starving and stealing from Russians for decades.

If that’s your take I think you’re trying too hard,

Hamas hates everyone even Palestinians. Who knows why they harbor them, but they do.

The same thing that happened to Israel happened to Ukraine. Russians have slaughtered whole towns in Ukraine. Zelensky is simply being empathetic.

You can take a walk through history and see oppressor and oppressed in every era. A common thread is when people are oppressed by internal forces they either revolt and take power or simply live with the oppression. Even the attempt to revolt is important.

Gaza has a two fold problem. First they ruled by Hamas who don’t give a shit about them. Plenty of Palestinians hate Hamas, but not enough to make a difference. Secondly, they are oppressed by Israel due to Hamas.

They can either live with this or revolt. They’ve chosen to live with it.

That’s funny, because Hamas denies Israel’s right to exist and have said that publicly. Which was the twist in my original comment.

There are still over a hundred hostages. Crank down on Gaza…no electricity, etc…and you’ll eventually get some intel on where they are at. It’s war, and they put themselves in this position.

At first I thought this was about a terrorist attack that killed more than a thousand denying their human right to live. Then I remembered those didn’t have the right to exist in the first place.

You talk about children? Really? When Israeli children were slaughtered in their beds? Go away man.

Israel has the right to exist and defend itself. I feel sorry for you, but most of all I feel sorry for those that will spill blood.

It’s painful to say this, but the probability is that there will be no happy outcome

Here we go again, This is one of those justification posts. To which I always respond that there is no justification for the various atrocities committed by Hamas. To which you respond with something about Israeli oppression. To which I respond that it still doesn’t justify the vile and nasty nature of Hamas action and if your moral compass says it does I feel sorry for you. Then I slowly get bored with your inane ideology. Good. So that’s it.

My my. Israel has a right to defend itself, and from a citizen’s standpoint, a duty. As to your last paragraph of this diatribe, do you see Al Queida around anymore?

Its not a war for land, it’s a war for cause. Its not Ukraine.

Joint Statement on Israel- US, UK, France, Italy, Germany
lock
Today, the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States of America released the following joint statement following their call:  Today, we — President Macron of France, Chancellor Scholz of Germany, Prime Minister Meloni of Italy, Prime Minister Sunak of the United Kingdom, and President Biden of the United States — express our steadfast and united support to the State of Israel, and our unequivocal condemnation of Hamas and its appalling acts of terrorism.   We make clear that the terrorist actions of Hamas have no justification, no legitimacy, and must be universally condemned. There is never any justification for terrorism.  In recent days, the world has watched in horror as Hamas terrorists massacred families in their homes, slaughtered over 200 young people enjoying a music festival, and kidnapped elderly women, children, and entire families, who are now being held as hostages.   Our countries will support Israel in its efforts to defend itself and its people against such atrocities. We further emphasize that this is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks to seek advantage.   All of us recognize the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people, and support equal measures of justice and freedom for Israelis and Palestinians alike. But make no mistake: Hamas does not represent those aspirations, and it offers nothing for the Palestinian people other than more terror and bloodshed.   Over the coming days, we will remain united and coordinated, together as allies, and as common friends of Israel, to ensure Israel is able to defend itself, and to ultimately set the conditions for a peaceful and integrated Middle East region.  https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/10/09/joint-statement-on-israel/
