Between the recent Steam sale and all the good bundles lately, I’m interested to see what everyone’s playing.
A place to discuss and support all things Steam Deck.
Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

Rules:
Whatever else I play, I always come back to Stardew Valley. There’s always something you can do there, and there’s always something you can find. It just never gets me bored.
Do you play vanilla or modded? I’ve heard mods add a lot of extra life to the game.
@blindsight pretty much everywhere mods add a lot of extra life to the game 😁 but for Stardew Valley specifically, I haven’t modded it yet. If I get bored though, I might.
I’m deep down in the Snow Runner-trench. It’s like Euro Truck Simulator, but mud and snow and in a week I’ve already spent like 14 hours or so. It take sooo much time to get things done though.
Snowrunner is brilliant
I’ve just discovered Brotato. I’m obsessed.
I was in the mood for some twin stick shooters. I found Revita and ScourgeBringer, and have been playing some Ubermosh. Revita is really fun, it says unsupported but the game works fine on Deck (no 12800x800 though). The standard game has a pretty good community template, but the beta version of the game seems to be the “definitive update” which didn’t have as strong a template so I added and uploaded one.
I keep coming back to MH Rise with my friend though, playing it docked on the TV :)
Went to look up Revita, and it turns out I already own it from some bundle. Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Definitely opt into the public beta (2.0) as it has a number of updates that the base game doesn’t. I do recommend my control scheme template, but only to help get you started playing sooner! ;) Took me a minute to fine tune it to make it really feel good.
Invincible, Death Stranding, Gunner Heat PC, Deep Rock Galactic, Trepang2.
Starting to approach my limit on FPS games. Maybe transition a bit back on 4X games or base builders.
The entire Halo series.
I never owned an Xbox growing up when the games were originally releasing. I recently got a Steam Deck and bought the Master Chief Collection on sale last week. I’ve been having an absolute blast working my way through the campaign (still early in the first game!), and I’m just kicking myself now that I never got into this earlier when the multiplayer was more populated. This shit is such my jam.
Oh what a treat! Everything up through Halo: Reach defined my teenage years. My friends and I had a blast trying to collect all of the campaign skulls on Legendary difficulty.
Chilling with Teardown and a bit of Automation: The Car Company Tycoon Game on the weekends. Exam week is nigh, so I won’t have much free time, but I really really want to grab Class of 09 on the Winter sale. It’s full of SOVL.
RDR2 when I want to get immersed.
Shovel Knight when I want something lighter.
Been playing RDR Online with a friend, but had to make a new account because the email to my 10 year old account tied to my PlayStation is old and deleted, and rockstar support seems to be breaking the record for hottest garbage I’ve encountered so far.
Time Wasters
SSX Tricky through Xemu
Oh also, randomly, Warframe is my most played game on my Deck! I got the Steam Deck for the first time a couple weeks ago and then went and bought a bunch of new games with the recent sale…but a free MMO shooter is what has kept me hooked the most lately.
I’ve been playing Murder by Numbers. I actually like it more on my deck than on my PC, as I like the controller interface better than with a mouse.
I’ve been playing this as well! If I have more time, I play a part of the story, and if I don’t, I play a few puzzles of “Scout‘s memories”.
I’ve been racking up Scouts memories to play through after I’m done with the story.
I think I’m about 1/2 through the final chapter right now, so I should be getting over to Scout shortly.
I’ve been playing this too! Feels funny to play a game on the Deck that could probably be a mobile game lol.
I played through this awhile back, enjoyed it a lot.
Final Profit. Talos Principle 2, and now I get enough of the mechanics to go back and do a lot of Talos Principle 1.
Hades.
Having just finished Hollow Knight (in fact, I mentioned starting it in one of the previous discussion threads ), I find Hades to be a bit too repetitive. But I don’t want to make the same mistakes I did with Hollow Knight and give up early.
I will give this game a few more days before forming a conclusive opinion.
Speaking of Hollow Knight, I am glad I didn’t give up yet again. The game really opens up after the first few boss fights, and it was really fun exploring the lore, levelling up, and going through some of the bosses.
